EMAP Assessor COVID Restrictions Survey

Throughout the year, the EMAP Commission has implemented various travel restrictions in an effort to keep all EMAP staff, assessors and Program personnel safe during these unprecedented times. As we move into 2021, the EMAP Commission will again revisit this discussion to make a determination on when it may be safe, and possible, to transition from virtual assessments back to on-site assessments. We have put together a survey for all EMAP assessors to assist with this process. Your input and feedback will help drive this decision making process. Please complete the EMAP Assessor COVID Restrictions Survey when you get a chance. Your responses are greatly appreciated by the EMAP staff and Commission. You can complete the survey by clicking here.
Virtual Cohort Training Opportunity

Is your Program seeking accreditation or consecutive accreditation in 2021 or 2022? Do you have an Accreditation Manager that is trained on the 2019 Emergency Management Standard?

Due to the challenges associated with providing classroom-based training during these unprecedented times, EMAP will be providing virtual cohort trainings into 2021. Please do not wait for classroom-based trainings at EMI; EMI has asked EMAP to transition the Emergency Management Standard Training to a virtual platform indefinitely.

To register for the EMAP Virtual Cohort Training, complete the registration form accessible at https://forms.gle/YquzgAFxsSwv68Ho6. The virtual cohort trainings fill up quickly so don’t wait to register!
EMAP is looking for Programs interested in participating in FEMA Continuity Assessment Tool (CAT) Pilots in 2021

EMAP has partnered with FEMA to conduct pilot assessments of the Continuity Assessment Tool (CAT), a tool designed to identify and address gaps in continuity programs and plans. The goal of the CAT Pilots is to utilize Continuity of Operations (COOP) Plans from Emergency Management Programs to implement and assess the CAT. The CAT Pilot would provide an opportunity for your Program to receive feedback on your continuity program and plans. Additionally, feedback from the assessors and your Program will help FEMA enhance its continuity guidance and the CAT to make it more user-friendly and applicable to states, territories, tribes, counties, and cities in the United States. There are no costs associated with the CAT Pilots for Emergency Management Programs. If your Program would be interested in participating in a CAT Pilot in 2021, please complete the interest form accessible at https://forms.gle/6mrB6KbotA81z2Xz9.
